Core is putting their time and mmoney and doing this all for everybody
Pray please tell me what the core did for people stuck in BEC's.
Even these people contributed and once the dates were made current everybody and I'm sorry to say including the core forgot about them.

Hi,
We filed I-485 july last year, but didn't file for EAD.
Now I want to file EAD for me and my wife, she is on H4 right now.
The main posting talks about filing everything together.

Just sent an email that the rally was to put forward the delays enforced by USCIS for the green cards and not for the H-1B cap increase. Gave the IV link to check for the rally facts.

I Wish the border patrol was doing its job more efficiently and doing more searches not less. This way !@#$% illegals would be kicked out and our immigration process wouldnt be held hostage by them.
I live near the Mexican border. There are border check points everywhere when you leave the city. They will stop you, ask you your status. First time I didnt have my passport or anything. He checked my drivers license and politely reminded me about the requirement to carry immigration documents. Since then, I always carry a copy of passport and H1B and have never had any problems.
I hate it when people cry and feel like they are being persecuted when asked to follow the law.
Exactly my thoughts too. How difficult is it to have a copy of your visa, passport and I-94 in each of your vehicles..!!
If you are using EAD, even better, carry the darned EAD card in your pocket...

Thanks abracadabra for agreeing to the point. It is really funny isn't it, when you notice people fighting over God's? Just the thought of fighting to support your God shows that you really dont belive in his/her strength or you dont really know what God is!! If thats the case, how would that power qualify to be GOD?? Whether it is in Inda/pakisthan/middle east/africa, wherever people fight to save their God/gods are just fighting to avoid confronting their own insecurity:-) What is the difference between me getting insulted on seeing Ganeshas picture on a beer bottle or Jesus's picture on the toilet seat and a circle with two dots as eyes on a person's BUTT, which he claims to represent ME (thomas)? Ofcourse I know that the circle with 2 dotts on his BUTT doesn't represent me so is the same about Ganesha / Jesus. Who has seen these folks?? The big truth is NOBODY!! EVER!! My motive is simple and straightforward. I am looking for points that I can use to convince lawmakers and media that American will gain AND not loose by supporting our cause.
I also plan to use the poll results during our upcoming meeting with lawmakers. If you have some better idea , which will enable me to use during such meetings, I am all ears.
I have sympathy for your position, I feel blessed that my situation and timing were more favorable.
The poll we are voting on was when did we plan to make a property purchase, my view and my opinion was that to me holding the green card wasn't the deciding factor.
I agree there is risk in property values and the ability to liquidate.
I acknowledge that your position is because of market conditions in the lending economy that have changed, in 1999 I got a mortgage after 3 months on H1b, and I know times have changed.
But obviously you attempted to consider buying property before your GC approval, because of your mortgage rejection...which is due to lender policy.
I thought the purpose of the poll was to measure the forums "plan and intention": when do you plan to buy a house?
Are you waiting for green card approval or are you buying before?
Perhaps it's an unfair question, because most people don't have the cash to just buy out right and are forced to borrow, at the lenders conditions.
The other economic question is about property values and real estate cycles. The two rules of real estate are "location, location, location" and "timing".
Then factor the security of your position.
At the end of the day as I see it we have to choices, we either rent accomodation or we buy.
It's up to all of us to make our own decision as to which route we wish to take and whether the cost of renting is the opportunity cost of buying.
So here's my question to you...if you could secure funding, would you buy or would you wait for GC approval?
Are you experiencing difficulty in securing a mortgage because you are not a green card holder? is a different question.

One legal aide explained me how ignorant most of the lawmakers are when it comes to legal vs illegal immigrants.
I highly doubt the very essence of this statement. At the end of day they are "Law makers" and I am not ready to believe that they can not distiguish between legal and illegal immigration. It would be possible that they may be pretending the ignorance. Potter love to have a donkey which do the work without eating grass. Till now donkeys (Us) were working for those potters(lawmakers, Employers) without asking for grass with the hope that someday we will have very nourishing grass. Now donkeys (Us) have realized that there is no nourished food in near future so we have organized ourselves. In turn these potters will take time to devise the ways so as not to provide enough nourshied food to all these donkeys and till then to keep you going on they will pat our backs. This is basic politics... Yes, I do have lot of faith in "Us" but if we make our strategies with keeping faith in these "Potters" then I have high doubts about our success.

I don't care if the company is kind enought or not. Damn it .....it's my life and I want to control my own destiny.... a green card , red card, yellow card cannot make me beg anybody !! I have decided that I will keep switching on extensions and keep getting three extensions ....
If CIR / SKLIL happens , it would just be a bonus. But I will definitely help IV financially and morally all the time.....
